Quality Control

CIC carry out routine quality control of incoming raw materials, in-process checking and finished products on site; some specialised finished product testing is carried out externally.

CIC, in common with the rest of the Capital Group, is certified to ISO 9001:2000. CIC is currently in the process of achieving AS9100 certification. Click here to view the certificate.

Quality Control - Visual Inspection

Penetrant dye is used to highlight any cracks and surface defects - cores are inspected under a X5 magnification.

CMM Inspection

CIC has two CMM machinges which use the latest Metrolog XG Level 4 software which provides full CMM data capture which can be supplied to the customer in a number of formats.

100% of IGT cores are CMM checked and the individual core CMM data is provided with deliveries.

First Article Inspection Report

CIC has CMM/FAIR Engineering capabilities to provide FAIR reports and ongoing dimensional and statistical reports on customers’ pieces.

Statistical Process Control

Process control is paramount in this industry. CIC use QDAS software which is the leading company for SPC manufacturing environments. This is the recognised standard for the automotive industry.
